If my baby was lactose intolerant as an infant will she be able to tolerate whole milk after 1 year old?
As an infant, my baby was lactose intolerant and unable to tolerate breast milk. She has been on a soy formula since she was 6 weeks old. She will be a year old in about 3 weeks. Will I be able to give her regular whole milk when I wean her from her bottle?
I'd talk to her doctor. Most babies who start out having trouble with cow's milk protein out grow it by one year but some do not. It's a good idea to see if your doctor thinks you should try the whole milk or just keep up with the soy!
