Teething at 3 months?
My son is 12 weeks old. For the past two weeks he has been having (what seem to be) teething symptoms. He is drooling, chewing on his bottle and pacifier rather than sucking on them, and he tries to chew on everything that gets near his face. He is very cranky. I have tried the tablets (but he seems to just swallow them), I've used Orajel, and infant Tylenol. He doesn't have very good control over his hands yet so I hold a cool teether in his mouth when I can and he seems to enjoy that.
Does is sound like he's teething? If he is teething can anyone suggest any pain relief I haven't already tried? Does this continue until the tooth cuts? If it's not teething, what else could it be?
sounds like teething to me. it continues until the tooth cuts through. brody is 15 weeks and teething, i put baby oragel on his gums [a little smaller than a pea size amount on top and bottom]. and he likes to chew on rags. they are easier for babies to handle because all they have to do is bring their hands to the face, they dont have to manuever around a teether. =]
