how much should I feed my 7 months old baby?
hi I am 1st time MOM
and i am giving my baby 10 oz of formula and 2 times a day breastfeed( about 5- 10 minutes),solid food stage 2 .ex- sweet potatoes ,peas,corn( gerber and earth best food organic),apple,pears.etc. organic oatmeal cereal too.
haven't start juice yet.am i doing right?my baby is only 17.9 lb
his not interested in solid food.what should i do?
10 oz of formula in a whole day isn't it too low? does i tmean my baby is not healthy?
yes i pumped it was about 2 an d 1/2 oz of breastmilk
My 8 month old baby eats 32 ounces of formula a day, plus 2 solid meals (squash, cereal, string beans, etc.)
I was told by an expert that 90% of food till at least 8 months old should be formula or breast milk. Your baby needs a higher proportion of formula and breast milk. In fact, your baby doesn't even need solid food till age 2, and probably should not get it till he has teeth!
People rush to give their kids solid food, but there is no nutritional reason why. Formula and breast milk have been worked out (especially breast milk!!) to provide for all the nutritional needs.
My advice is to read the chart by the formula company. Earth's Best publishes a guide to formula and indicates how much formula, breast, milk, etc., is necessary at each month's age.
