What other toys could she need?
She's 16 months and disinterested in her toys and I know I need to rotate them but I don't know what to leave her and what to put away for a while.
She has:
balls (tons, all sizes)
doll house
shape sorter
puzzles
sand/water toys
tea set
stuffed animals (lots- some sing)
nesting blocks
books
musical stuff (drum, flute tambourine, etc)
dress up stuff (purses, play jewelry, etc)
play food, basket, bbq grill, kitchen accessories
7 music/ight up toys
ball popper
rocking pony
ride on tiger
bounce on turtle
play hut w/ tunnel
various other toys meant for younger babies (tinker toys, rattle teethers etc)
coloring books/crayons
bowling pin set
and that's all i see in there at the moment. I was thinking a play kitchen? We are both bored with her toys! What can you suggest we get, or which of these toys should we swap out
Break the toys down into groups and just close your eyes and point to something to put away. I have a hard time putting away things in my classroom and I just have to not give it a lot of thought and just do it. For instance, keep out one or 2 gross motor toys(ride on's, bouncers, bowling pin, etc), instruments, dress up items, etc...and put the majority of toys in each category away. Let her see where and how you store the rest of the items... kind of like a store/ warehouse set up... the warehouse is still organized enough to quickly and safely find things if she requests them... she'll be old enough soon:)
