Homemade Organic Baby Food Recipes
can I make my own rice cereal for my baby using brown rice?

Hello! I want to feed my baby homemade baby food when he is ready for solids, I have discussed it with my doctor at his last check up and he thinks it would be a great idea, especially if I use organic vegies and fruits for him but I forgot to ask about his cereal. I know how to make regular rice cereal, you just grind rice and boil it with water enough to make it the right consistency but I was wondering if you could use brown rice since it is healthier? Does anyone know or know of any good websites with babyfood tips and recipes? Thanks!!
lol, thanks L...I didnt know you could buy already made brown rice cereal for babies, I will keep my eye out for them!

If you want to make it, than make it! I tend to like the ready-made stuff because its not so time consuming. Beach Nut has brown rice cereals(with fruit too)
I did find a webpage with a recipe on making and storing home made brown rice cereal that I thought was helpful:
