what are the best BPA free bottles, nipples and cups?

i am going nuts with all these chemicals. did everything i could to protect my son from chemicals, like giving him organic milk etc, still giving him pumped milk for 9 months because he couldn't not latch, until i found out that the avent bottles i was using have BPA. so basically he was just like formula fed babies.
anyway, the born free bottles have bad reviews, they say they leak, don't leach, get bubble hot spots, melt when sterlised.
also, i heard that almost everything canned or in a plastic container has BPA!!!
so if you started using BPA free cups and bottles please let me know which ones you love. i can't use glass because my son is 14 months, and he is not ready for adult cups yet.

You need to understand a couple of things. First, your baby is not basically like a formula fed baby. You KNOW breast milk is best, and any possibility of him ingesting BPA does not cancel that out. Unless you have heavily abused your bottles, he probably hasn't really been exposed to that much BPA anyhow. You did not fail him, and he is healthier for having been given breast milk instead of formula. Got it?

Second, you need to understand what kinds of plastics BPA can be found in. It is actually only a small amount of plastics that BPA is found in. These are usually HARD, CLEAR plastics called polycarbonate. If the plastic is pliable or flexible at all, chances are it isn't polycarbonate. All of the plastic baby food containers, food storage containers, bottles of water, etc are pretty much safe. Hard plastics are like the rigid baby bottles and nalgene's water bottles. Yes, BPA is used a lot in the linings of canned foods, which means fresh or frozen is better. Does that help at all?

Okay, to answer your question, there are a lot of bottles that are BPA free, but not advertised as such. Walmart's Parent's Choice brand has some tinted bottles that they advertise as BPA free. Also, Nuby has a wide range of BPA free products as well. This site has pictures and descriptions of Nuby's BPA free products. I'm not pushing Nuby at all, but this list is awesome and should make you feel better. Check it out.
